Jack Point

Can anybody tell me where-a-bouts the jackpoint is? I thought you could pick anywhere on the muffler, but after doing this last night i now have two very subtle flat spots on the bottom of my pipe. Thanks.

there are marks on the pipe if it is stock
Not sure if it works on the drummer not tried it
