Hey guys! Anyone ever considered this battery?

CCA's are not enough for the buell. You need at least 300. That's what the OEM HD Battery cranks.

the terminals are the right way around for my XBs,, Dunno about any body else, On My sportsters ir depends on the year, my 86 daily rider and the wifes 2000 are opposite ends.

200 CCA is stock, more is better in this case. 240 would be better than 200. Hard to find a battery that would fit that does 300, you CAN get 300 CCA but it wont fit any XBs i know of unless you do a lot of mods.

Deka is i think the best, Yuasa is right up there. I myself would prefer to support the made in USA ones,, (Deka) but i see in that picture Yuasa also claims to be made in the USA so,,,,,,hmmm, that part is news to me.

Do a google search for "Battery, Buell XB" and a ton of threads on this topic come up on this forum and several others, also try some of the sportster forums. Some BS to wade thru, but this topic has been covered many times and some really good info already posted. Especially the storys about the Deka battery company.

Theres a forum member here selling Dekas as well, comparable prices and id rather support the little guy,
but YRMV

Thanks for the help!
I had been looking at getting a yuasa ytx14h or ytx14h-bs... Both with 240cca. But I went to yuasa 2013 battery cross reference pdf, this new gyz16h was the same size with more capacity. It is supposedly the newest Yuasa high performance line. It shows it is stock battery in a new Honda TRX500 ATV.

From yuasa 2013:
AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) separators with superior grid and component designs • Improved charge recovery capability from a deeply discharged condition • Longer shelf life • Improved life cycle performance • Extreme vibration resistance • Supplied “Factory Activated” (non-spillable) • Heavy duty, flush mounted terminals. Patent pending embedded brass nut • Upgrade for customized motorcylces requiring the best performance.

Any who...thank for the help

Just an update...battery is a perfect fit and man does it spin the engine!!!
Barely has time to crank before the engine is running.
