Just got an 99 X1 and need some help

Just picked up this 99 X1 and it has a Vance and Hines muffler on it. The guy i got it from said he just put it on and it might need the ECM remapped. I ordered the USB cable to use ECM spy to see what is going on. Just doesnt seem like it is running like it should. Any help would be appreciated.

If you know enuf about ECM spy I have the race map for the x1 it's in my fathers bike and it runs very good. Let me know if you want it and can't find it here on the net anywhere.

Read the tuning guide a couple times through. Its easier than I thought it would be. The race map will make it run better for sure but dialing it in more yourself will only make it better.

I noticed when I ride my X1 I can feel how hot the oil tank is getting under the seat. Anyone ever put an oil cooler on an X1?

Well looks like i have to switch back to the stock exhaust. the chain adjustment bolt on the primary has worn a hole in the exhaust and caused the front exhaust bolt to shear off.

where do I purchase the usb cable to remap my bike? i also just purchase a 99X1 that has V&H exhaust and a K&N intake and it runs like crap.
