My older brother passed away this past week so I decided to take the bike to PA for the funeral. Because it was a last minute trip there was no planning ahead of time as usual. Hopped on Bruiser at 8am on Sunday morning and off I went. Reserve light came on as I hit WV so I took the next exit, and the next, and the next. No electricity for the pumps. Couldn't go any further so I camped out 2nd in line at the station. About 2 hrs behind me another dude on a Harley pulls in. After about 5 hrs total for me at this point, his wife calls and says she got 5 gal of gas in Beckly, WV and is on her way back. He hangs up the phone, looks at me and says. "She only went 50 miles for gas and I don't need all of it, you can have half of it.:)

Thanks to the kindness of a complete stranger I was able to complete my trip and not be stranded overnight in WV. I have always tried to pay it forward and this past weekend it was returned to me with interest![up]

The 473mi trip took a little over 16hrs to complete and it is a trip I will remember the rest of my life!

Hey man! Sorry to hear about your brother... I've been meaning to ask you how things were going.

I'm glad you made an enjoyable trip of it. Guess all Harley guys aren't all that bad! (sarcasm)

Take care man!

Major thumbs up for the Harley man. I'm glad people adopt the "pay it forward" attitude - it really can come in handy from time to time. I have a few banked myself.

Harley guys generally aren't bad in my experience. I'm glad you had a safe trip.
