I bought my Firebolt the summer of 2007 after reading into the brand and watching a few videos online. Since that day three and a half years ago, we have covered over 30,000 miles of Texas and Arkansas together. I rode my old Buell to work for the last time this morning, it's going to it's new owner this evening. Thanks Buell for making me smile this morning and making me smile every morning on the way to work. It's not been perfect but it's been memorable to say the least. I thank each and every member for the advice and help I have recieved from this forum. I couldn't have done it without you. I don't plan on deleting my Buellxb.com bookmark anytime soon as I still enjoy reading the threads, haha. I leave you with some of the best pictures I took of her over the years. Thanks Buellxb.com

Sorry to hear about the Buell, but welcome to the Orange Lust family! You'll love that LC8.

I took a test ride on an RC8 about a month ago. That bike will put hair on your chest.

I also considered the RC8 very seriously but ultimatly went with the comfort of the Super Duke. Only have the crappy cell phone pic so far, taking her to the hills this weekend to get rid of the chicken strips and take some descent photos.

I take it those KTM's run Rotax motors also? Well, there is a ride next saturday into Llano, Texas. Its a good way to open her up!

Dont leave us! WE dont care if you have a duke, we love dukes! At least i do lol. I want to ride one so bad. Tell us how you like it.

Off topic but, why is it that the only 2 companies that make decent to great looking swingarms are triumph and buell? Single swing arms dont count here. Every other company out there just makes them the rectangle tubing and they are the ugliest parts on a bike :\. Gotta love Buell!

Sorry to see it go. I remember when you put the R tail on her - turned out Great. Anyways, keep the rubber side down. [up]

Have fun on the KTM. Ill probably see you on the KTM forum soon since my net bike will be a RC8. But i wont be selling the Buell for it ;)

I'm looking into getting a supermoto, and if I can find one locally I'd love to get my hands on a KTM 690smc. I think chances are slim that I'll find one in my area when the time comes though.

I'm also probably gonna sell my xb9 soon, but only so I can replace it with an xb12. Instead of buying a supermoto, selling the xb9, and buying an xb12 I'm gonna see if I can save a step and just see if anyone around here has a SM they want to trade for my XB.

Sorry to see you go, thanks for putting up with all of my stupid questions. I appreciate the help, be safe.

I would have just kept the Buell but after beating on it day after day it was starting to show it's age. I think I will have another XB some time, just one that hasn't been beat on like mine! You guys were asking about the Duke and how I like it, so far so good. It is waaay different. It does feel more precise than the Buell, much more refined. I was expecting it to be a little faster than the Buell but I was wrong,it is a hell of a lot faster. Like I said earlier, I have yet to really put it through it's paces but it is clearly MUCH faster. It accelerates very hard making an AAAUUUUUGGGGTTT sound, lol. Just barely got it into 4th gear hauling ass out of the dealer and hit 130mph on I10. I rode it home to San Antonio from Houston in the dark this week when I bought it, 200 miles of interstate in the dark and though it wasn't comfortable, it wasn't too bad, interstate is never fun. Sunday some friends and I are going up to the Texas hill country and we'll see what's what. Tell you how close it stays to a 2008 ZX10. He normally comes around the Buell once the road straightens out but I think that is going to change.

Another senior member puts the kickstand down. [sad] I'm sad to see you go. I hope you told the buyer he had to join Buellxb! Come back ever once in a while to check in. And make some more faux HDRs of the new Duke and post them up here!
