lap timer reset/ wrong pin

new to the 1125 and have a few questions.
In the manual it says to hold the passing lamp for three seconds to reset the lap timer but all that does is switch it between lap timer mode and lap review mode. Does anybody know how to reset the times???
And for the pin entry, does anybody know how to reset that too?? the guy I bought it from says he doesnt remember!

has the bikes pin entry ever been changed from the original?

hold down the mode and toggle button together for i'd say about 6 seconds and it will take you to where you can change the time, reset the service miles, set the pin, and set the theft settings. just scroll through the settings to find each one. as for the lap times not too sure on that one.
