Ok before i start taking thing apart I thought i would get some input on where to start. First off I just put on a new belt on my 2004 xb12r and before there was no oil leaking. There are no mod done to the engine but the bike does have a race ecm and that is about it.

Looks like your shaft seal behind the drve pully took a dump. This would be a good time to check the play in that bearing also.

bobaganoosh the cylinder bases are fine, just a little oil around them plus where the oil is coming from in the pictures is no where near the bases. just a heads up there maybe a 2004 xb12r with a slight oil leak up for sale soon.

Ok guys I don't think i will be able to fix my bike, lack of money and time, so what do you think i should be able to get for it. It's a 2004 xb12r with new VR(with newer plug style), new belt with less then 100 miles on it and race ecu. I don't want to part it out and want to keep the sale local(Seattle-Tacoma, Washington area).

Why not fix it? It's just some time, a few tools, and a gasket set. Great cold wet weather project!

Hahahaha Thats about the only weather seattle ever see's. 300 days of rain a year. Wish I could help ya out buddy but im not mechanically inclined enoough. I had my roccker gasket blow last year and it cost me only 200 boness to have the HD shop here in wenatchee drop thhe engine and replace it. Thats parts and labor. Not that im reccomending them, it shoulda been warrantied but their (old) shop manager dropped the ball their and tried to blame the breather re route.

Bigflash1 I would fix it but like i said no time or money to. This bike is my commuter and now i need something more reliable. Dont great me wrong its a great bike just not that great for the 80 miles i commute each day.
