I just installed a barker exhaust on my 09cr and have a slight leak where the header and the exhaust meet. Does anyone have any ideas how i can seal it up, it is not as bad as it was i have tightend the clamps up as tight as i can and it still has a small leak. i am going to add one more clamp on each pipe and hopefully that will help but not sure. any ideas will help. thanks in advance

They sell stuff at the auto parts store that fixes exhaust leaks. Its an Epoxy/putty kind of thing along the lines of JB weld. Like this stuff.I think its made for higher temperatures... Mix it, cover the leak and file clean. My guess is, it might be real hard to get neat.

Maybe theres a copper ring or wire that you'd be able to press and use as a gasket? Perhaps rig something with a header gasket?null

+ 1 on the high temp silicone. On my drummer ss that's how the front of the pipe is sealed where the down pipe enters the muffler.

I know this one is old but i have a question (may sound a little dumb). When you apply the high temp silicone, should i apply it to the inner and out portion of the piper to assure a good seal. or is just the outer near the clamp good enough?
