Led license plate question

Picked this up today, just got a question about wiring. Am I just tapping into the brake light? Black wire to black wire, and the white wire into the running light wire? If I'm not mistaken theres 3 wires going into the brake light, ground, running light and brake light

Does it have a red brake light on it or just lights to light up the plate? If it is to light the plate you want running light if its got red light then go to your brake

Interesting. Mine don't even have a light. I have been lucky so far not getting pulled over. Where did you buy it?

The bracket just has the lights to light up the plate
The led's are on the top of the bracket

I got it from a local store, but its made by radiantz hardcore lighting.

What kind of connectors should I use to tap into the existing wires?

i went with 22-16ga butt connectors when i relocated mine to the swingarm; made it easy to return to stock after i broke the custom one i made
