What does everyone use? I bought one from my work (I work at an auto parts store) and when I try the signals it blows the acc fuse. I have tried 2 different brands and both did the same thing! If anyone has a part number and brand of one that works I would really appreciate it. My local bike shop wants like $60 for one.

go to napa and pick up an ep35 or 36 relay. thats what i use on mine. the first ones i purchased did not say "led" on them and they didnt work. After i found one that did say "led" printed on the relay it worked great.

i also purchased one at carquest that looks just like this one from ASB. I have no problem with ordering one from ASB other than having to pay shipping and their minimum order is steep. I forget the carquest part number but if you look in the catalog you can find that one. asb relay

EP35 worked for me. I got a bad one that didn't, but the Tridon EP35 (from Advance Auto) worked like a charm.

I use EP36 with l.e.d's on the front and integrated tail light in the back, works great had it in for a year now without any problems.

Ya, I got the EP36 because it is rated for 4-6 lamps. I have front and rear led turn signals and an integrated tail light. It sems to have worked great! I was out on the bike today and had no problems other than the license plates here in BC, Canada are pretty big and with the new chopped tail and license bracket I made it is closer to the tire than I like and it got a little bent today! OOOPPPSSS!!! No damage to the tire or bike so it's ok, I will just have to figure something else out.

OK so i have tried EP 36 and EP-35 now. Both give me no flash and make a buzzing noise when the turn signals are on.
Should i get relays that say LED on the side? Is there a difference?

ive found there is a difference. napa couldnt guarantee a led relay when i went there so i ordered one from carquest out of the catalog. its blue and looks like the one asb sells.

Thank you for the input konarider94! [up] Ill head to Carquest in the morning and see if they got it. Ill do a follow up post in case anyone else has this problem.

So here is the answer to my problem. First off I changed to small LED turn signals all around and using my stock relay they wouldn't even blink. SO i tried the EP 35 and EP 36 from Napa and Neither worked.
Finaly spend the $27 for the LED relay at AmericanSportBike.com and it works perfect. Blinkers flash at a normal rate now.

From bottom to top: Stock relay, Napa EP 35 relay and the blue one is the ASB LED relay. Hope this helps everyone else.

Do you want to get rid of the ones you got from NAPA? I'm on my 2nd led relay from ASB and it's starting to go out on me...need to see if there are any other options that are a little more robust...

This is a very helpful thread...I had a turn signal issue that was just a bit different than the norm. The I had to remove and replace my license plate. After I reinstalled I went for a ride and all my signals stopped working. All fuses were good with no other issues I could find. I have LED's in the front and stock in the back (long story). Anyway the stock flasher relay worked fine up to that point but now no signals and no relay clicking when the indicator was selected.

I figured it must be the relay so I purchased the EP36 from advanced auto parts $12. Installed. Note: it was a real PITA getting the stock flasher relay out without removing the front fairing. Once the EP36 was plugged in, I Tested the right signals...THEY WORK. tested the left signal...Pop the 7.5 amp fuse blew. WTF I thought? This seems odd...Must be a short somewhere. I remembered the license plate swap I'd done a few days earlier and decided to check the rear wiring. Got the seat fairing off to check and Yep, one of the wires got jammed under the frame and with enough friction was shorting out the fuse every time I selected the left turn signal. Pulled the wire out, wrapped in electrical tape and reinstalled. Everything worked great after.
