Just wanted to know if anyone has lifted a bike with a drummer(original) from the standard jacking points using a wooden cradle and if all was good.

Any info would be great.

Regards Simon

Straight from KD Fab's website:

Because it is a modified stock pipe, all the mounting points retain their perfect fit to your bike and you can still jack the bike just like the original muffler allowed.

It is a good question however, because they remove the rear vertical plate that is inside that is the jacking point when they gut it, and all the pictures I've seen they don't replace that plate with anything.

Inconclusive answer, sorry.....

I do that in the shop (just for little) jobs like pads,Fork oil etc., you might want to get a rear wheel stand so no accidents happen keeps the bike level. The muffler isn't exactly flat so be carefull.Use some thing flat, small piece of 1/2 in.thick by 8inches by 8inches in plywood. Don't use a small bottle jack if at all possible. Take your time and enjoy the work!

i use a 97 chevy p/u scissor jack and a ratchet strap [up]

in your best hill billy voice "have tree will pull motor":p
