I kept seeing on here that Some were curious how the chrome paint would look and do in the projector housing. Well this is just one coat with rustoleum chrome, its not high temp, but oh well. Just wanted yall to see a before and after sort of with the low and high beam next to each other.

nice, i'm curious to see how it works, i know lots of people talk about doing this

since its not high temp you should spray it with some high temp clear coat or something so you wont have to paint it multiple times

Cool I'm about to do this, trying to decide what to use. Can you comment on light output with that paint(and what paint is it exactly) whenever it's together?

I will. I went ahead and sprayed some high temp clear on it and for some reason it took away the relfective ness of the paint. So while that was still wet i sprayed the chrome over it. Hopefully they mixed and now i have a high temp chrome...highly unlikely, but i will keep you posted. I should be able to get it back together in the next few days. Im doing a tail swap now and had the front fairing stay off painting it. Just have to get everything back together.

Not yet. Been on vacation and i will get them installed in the coming week. Ant wait to get my select seat on also :)

Any more updates? I'm still needing to do this...

Found a product called alclad 2, anyone hear of it?

FWIW - I tried the rustoleum Chrome inside the taillights of my 1973 project car and it didn't do too much - maybe a little. I've heard that mylar is much better, however I fear that with the heat of the headlight, it wouldn't survive.

Sorry no update to present. Been in Mexico and California the past two weeks and christmas before. When i get back i will get them installed and post an update. Sorry to keep ya waiting.

No worries just thought I'd ask again. I have no idea what I'm going to do but need to decide fast... Even thought about getting the plastic chrome plated but that'd probably be a few hundred bucks.

No worries. I just picked up a used light housing on evilbay. Its the updated version and seems to be in good condition. Im gonna test both and go wkth which is best. Im in atizona now headed back to GA so it wont be long till i can mess with it.

I've decided not to use that product above. My buddy who has spray equipment will not be able to do it. So this weekend I'll be doing a gloss black rattle can coat followed by a chrome rattle can quote. Hope it works. If not, at least it'll be cheap and I can redo it later. I just need my bike together pronto...
