I was requested to share my experiences with LiOn batteries by a Buell Ulysses owner. My bike is a road and drag sportster 103 hp 10:5 to 1 compression.
My husband and I both run lithium ion batteries Shorai LiOn brand. We've been running them for four years. They come with a five year prorated warranty. They're about $50 more than a dealership lead acid battery. Last winter they started the bikes on the coldest day like they were new. It took 8.9 lbs off my 103 hp sportster and 13.9 lbs off my husband's 137 hp VRod. I absolutely would recommend replacing a stock battery with one!

Really. Cause in all reality they suck in the winter, are for drag bikes not for daily riders, require a special charger, typically cost 3 times as much as lead acid, and have a hard time cranking our motors. They certainly have their place where weight reduction is the ultimate goal.

But to spam a forum pretending to be a consumer certaintly guarantees I will never buy your product and I will bad mouth your advertising practices.

Yeah - spam, spam, spam and spam....

Just a note, though - I did put a lithium in my Blast. I've done two winters with it without issues...IF you turn the key and let the battery warm up for a few minutes before trying to crank the engine over (when it's cold, obviously, during the major three riding seasons, it works like a normal battery). For me it was nice to save the 11-12 pounds, but certainly not a necessary switch.
