looking for a S1W!

i have been looking for a buell s1w. dont know much about them other than the have different heads, bigger tank, and the sick blue frame and orange tank and plastics. i just love every thing about it. just having a hard time finding them because i think the where only made in 98'? can any tell me more about the s1w and s1's in general, dont know to much about them.

I bought one a couple years ago. What would you like to know?

All frame colors and body colors were available to the S1W. The White body work ones were the only ones to get the WHITE Lightning on the tail and fly screen. The white frame was only offered on the W's. The ones with the colored body work were called Lightning Strikes over in Europe. The thunderstorm heads were offer and bumped the HP to 101. They got serveral unique parts, handle bars, carb and no rear pegs. They made only 2210 of the S1W. I could go on and on but that's the basics in a nut shell.

Their is a low mileage (like 8 miles) one on eBay right now.

i tried to find that buell but can find it. Maybe put the url?

the biggest thing is what made s1w"s different from a regular model?

Also i found a 00 Buell lightning x1 that is the same paint, but dont like how its put together. has like a skin over the tank, really long tail section and chrome or brushed aluminum, the way the exhaust is routed, and dull touches on the motor. so want to keep looking for a s1w.

i just have extreme attention to detail, and all those things make it seem like its ruined, and the s1w's are 3X the bike.

also dont know where to find after market performance parts and bike parts to modify it? you know any sites?

It looks like the one on eBay may have sold. The highest bid on it was $6000.

One of the most sought after IMO is the triple back S1W. They are late build bikes and I believe I read somewhere they only built 30 units with this color combo.

to buellbradski: I Live near springfeald Mass. i think i will be willing to go 2hrs away for one. and near like 3500. seen them go for that. i also not looking like lowest milles ever miles. i will look at anything
