Hey guys thanks in advance for anthing you all offer up. here is the deal in shipping from the states to Puerto Rico my frame was scratched i now need estimates for repair so the movers can fix it.

first is the frame painted or powder coated. the texture makes me think powder coat.

second. to paint it i would need to dismantle it which would void warranty if not done by a professional do you all agree.

lastly if its getting repainted at the cost of some one else why not personalize it. so recommendations or suggestions. i am thinking of a red tint like the 08 frame is bluish need to see what can actually be done and maybe even powder coat it.

I disagree, with cars the warranty will only be voided if the manufacturer can prove that the work you did caused the fault. I believe it is the same for motorcycles too

I think it's painted. The paint is available from HD. M0310.6AAYCX Phantom Metallic Paint (12oz. aerosol can)

I wouldn't dismantle it. Especially wouldn't let a dealer dismantle it. I've seen a few threads on here where guys spot painted their swingarms- same paint. Came out really good. Buy the paint and do it yourself or find a painter to do it.

good call on the rattle can i could make a bundle and i have access to a paint booth and some talent to coincide with it.

live on the west side not metro much nicer. also live in a gated military housing with 24hr gate guard and my garage is locked so its pretty safe just need to watch for drivers
