looking to go to a stock ecm ,what years will fit?

im sick of the d&d pipe on my xb12r and its never run great or as enjoyable as stock so im changing it back to stock but instead of having computer problems again or re programing if i ever want the pipe back on i want to find a stock ecm and just plug it in and ride.what years will fit my 04 xb12r? i was told to use a 05 up ecm because they are better?

I heard people having problems fitting the newer ecm due to an extra prong on the plugin; just email EBR.
