On Monday I'm heading to look at an '09 1125R, probably trading in my XB9S. Anything I should look out for/look at in particular?

I read about stuttering/hesitation down in the lower RPM's with the '08s being an issue, did that get resolved in '09?

Any special maintenance issues I should know about?

i have an '08 and she's not a fan of the 3 grand and under rpm range, the biggest thing i can tell you is to not drive it like a harley lol it's totally fine to cruise at 5 grand. i've never talked to anyone with an '09 about the differences, and changes, but the eninge and tranny is the same so it's safe to say that the 1125r has a clunky lower rpm characteristic. i love the bike though and from what i've heard it is a big step up from the XBs hope you have a good time with it. I have a 09. I got a EBR ECM and the bike is totally different. Has lots of low end and a lot more mid range. Top end seems to be the same. So the fix for the surging and jerking at low RPM is the EBR ECM "best drive" tune.

I have owned an XB9 and currently own an 08 1125R. I havent really had much in the way of problems with mine... nothing too serious at any rate. You will definitely be impressed with the power range coming from a "9", and Cronce is correct, This bike loves being above 5K RPM. The only down side that you will notice right away is the lack of sound it makes at the exhaust. nothing a pipe cant fix... and I strongly suggest an ECM from EBR.
