Bike bogs down when giving throttle at 6000 and above, kinda feels like a car with a governor. Tried to do a TPS reset with ECM Spy but the reset tps button didn't highlight. Not very familiar with the program. I can see the values change when I turn the throttle. I just don't want to throw parts at it. I have fuel, spark and compression or it wouldn't fire. I have the Keda RT3 exhaust with matching race ecm.

The TPS calibration is automatic on the 2008+ models. A "reset" is not required unless you have removed/replaced the TPS, or replaced/recalibrated the ECM.

Did this loss of power behavior happen all of a sudden?

I replaced the tps last year and it was running fine. Now not so much. With the weather here its been tough to get a ride in. I had some starting issues which turned out to be a bad relay. Starts easy, just no power when riding. There are no codes since I cleared them last time when I had the starting issues. Here is the info from the cluster

Tps
2.0 goes to 52.5 with throttle wide open

Tps voltage
0.5 goes to 2.2 with throttle wide open

Map
Kpa 97.0

Map voltage 3.9

Iac 15.6

Fuel
Kpa 4.0

Fuel voltage 0.4

Frt o2 0.4

Rear o2 0.4

F adapt

Fuel 100.0

R adapt fuel 100.0

Tps values should go from 2ish to 100. Sounds like your throttle bodies are being prevented from opening completely. Pull of your filter and watch the butterflies as you open the throttle. If they dont open all the way check your vent tube to the right of the throttle bodies. It should be protruding from the base of the airbox.

If you have done the solenoid delete, the solenoid cable arms on the throttle bodies may be tied up.

For future reference, tps on 08+ models are not self adjusting. The ecm will recalibrate the closed loop system to an extent based on sensor input and set parameters in the ecm. They will not compensate for major changes. And they changes they do apply happen over an extended period, not all at once.

heagachongoose, I think you might be confusing the throttle position sensor with the ECM's runtime adjustments, such a AFV and EGO correction.

Ding....Ding we have a winner-ish. Not the vent tube, but the upper clamp for the front throttle body. Turned it around to the other side by the tps sensor and now they open all the way. Too bad its to late to fire her up and go for a ride. Deans exhaust would really piss of the neighbors. Ehh only 6 hrs till I head back out to work.:)
