ok so up until a week ago i had a 1125cr with the keda rt-3 exhaust which was an amazingly loud yet good sounding combo. well last week i sold it and bought a xb12r which so far i love other than how overly quite it is compared to my old bike. its currently has hawks pipe and has a good throaty sound but is there a pipe that will be close to as loud at my 1125 with the keda rt-3?

oh i guess i should add i dont want to take a hit on low end torque and i want it to sound throaty
what are my best options

Not really. This is about as close as I can get it, but it's not as loud. Sounds just as good as what you had before on the 1125 though.

Straight Open headers, d&d pipe... Those are the most Harley sounding ways I heard..

I have a beson race exhaust system on mine and the sound is incredible, but they don't make them anymore, lucky if you can even find one

see if you can sell your hawk and buy a stock can and make your own. I made my own from my stock can and it is loud! Its loud, its throaty and i actually gained some low and mid range torque. I did a write up on how i did it and theres also a video link so you can hear it. If you decide to go that route let me know and Ill answer any questions

Thats what i did. It was too loud for me so i bought a race pipe. My xb12r would set off car alarms driving through parking lots.

My race exhaust sets off car alarms..... wait till you guys see my reverse exhaust its a voodoo copy.... I just finished it and its drying now.... I'll put it on tonight

A friend of mine had a race pipe , sounded great but I preferred my d&d . He has since switched to a keda and its about as loud but with a little better sound . I'm a touch jelous [mad] my only small victory is I have a chin spoiler!

Quality hands down d Adams wins hands down. In my opinion his sounds the best as well . If you want a chin spoiler I beleive le jardine bracket works with his pipe?
Hope I helped

Jardine, with some quality packing (American Sport Bike steel wool and ceramic). Bonus, you can get an ECM from EBR. Jardine is one of the exhausts that EBR makes a tune for all years on the XB models. I dyno'd my bike and it had a super linear power delivery, not sure about torque but the Jardine can is around 20lbs lighter than a stock can (with all the bracketry and mounts) so I think it evens out. You won't be able to jack the bike on the Jarine though. But if you want loud, it won't let you down. Check out my profile, and my youtube page, I have some nice videos.

Nope sorry guess my sarcasm didn't come though in written form . I'm happy with the d&d just like the keda better both from a quality and sound stand point.
