this is my first post on this site. been reading for a about 3yrs. i have 2 buells 03 xb9sl and 09 1125cr. has any one had a problem with a low fuel error on the 1125cr. kicks on and off with a check engine light . i kown the is done the fuel error.

[confused] "I kown the is done the fuel error." WTF? haha

Looking quickly at the owner's manual: If you are sure that the bike has more than 0.8 gallons on board and you are not "riding aggressively" or "over very rough terrain," then I'd suspect that sensor may be going bad.

half asleep when i sent. I meant to say the the check engine light was do to the low fuel voltage error. Besides that issue both of my bikes are great to ride. I have a service manual didn't see anything in it about the issue. Was wondering if anyone else had the same issue. thanks

Going....bad...Huh...?
Oh yea...more Buell myths.

My CR's done the occasional "low fuel" light since new...
And I'll have 20,000 miles on it by Wednesday. And with no problems related to fuel I might add..!

No battery problems, no running out of gas (or low level)...just the occasional "low fuel" light until it warms up in the morning, then it goes out.
And yes, I have checked the stator output on a freshly started, cold engine/system.

Since the bike hasen't shown other related problems...I just don't pay any attention to it because I know...there is just under a half a tank of fuel left, oil level is good, since it started well, the battery is at least mostly good...and it will go out as soon as the coolent reaches the proper temperature.

Now I fully "do" understand that there may be many causes for this light to come on...but as I've shown, not all are bad.

When my low fuel light is on after start up..with a full tank I accelerate in first and when i let off the throttle it heavily stutters like the front tire is skipping..its hard to explain...anyone have any ideas?

When this began the bike ran out of gas without the low fuel light kicking on. After my brother brought me some gas and i filled it up it started. Since this happen the low fuel and check engine light kicks on and off. Then sometimes when I trun the key on it gives me a low fuel sensor error message. I love ridding both of my Buells and have had no other issues. my 1125CR is the best bike I've bought. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue.
