Would it be possible to make a bracket to lower the fairing a few inches?? This is a question for the optimist. I don't want to hear no! I want to hear from people who know fabrication or from those who have removed a Firebolt fairing before. What do you think? Photos are great too if you can add them to your answer.

What's the point of this mod? Is it just for aesthetics? If so, I vote FAIL. To me the fairing looks better in its stock position. But then again, I ride a Uly, so wtf do I know...

The purpose is to gain clearance for either a front brake master cylinder or handlebar risers. I suppose someone could do it for looks but I would think most would do it to gain clearance. On my last bike with risers I could not lock the fork because the handlebar hit the body with the risers on. So with this mod you gain the necessary clearance. I haven't installed risers yet on my newer Buell but its a next summer project.

As mentioned, I did it both for aesthetics and for clearance for the radial front brake master cylinder mod.

The stock height position of the front fairing to my looks too high on the bike, IMHO. The modded position to me gives it that aggressive, really bad ARSE look. You would have to see it in person to actually appreciate it.
