I am 6'1" and still feel a little cramped in the knees on my 06 Xb9Sx, Is there anything I can purchase to lower the foot pegs even more? I have looked at rearsets, but I havn't found any to lower the pegs, they just move them back slightly. My next option is to have my seat recovered and have them add foam, but I dont plan to keep the bike forever and I don't want to make it so that an average person cant reach the ground. Do you have any ideas for me? Thanks.

Do your current footpegs look like these? The stock ones are more or less "straight-across", whereas these in the picture have a 1" drop from mounting point to peg. Buell sells these - $25.75 for left/right pegs.

Those are the stock pegs. There are no lower options for the XBS bikes. They only make the XBR's lower

the rizoma rearset will give you the most adjustability.
the drop & backward adjustments will give you about 2.5" more room.

You can put all of the ully stuff on there and it gives you another three inches.

what ully stuff? Do I just need the lower frame piece where the pegs mount onto? Will they bolt right on without modification?

That is all you should need. And they should just bolt right on.

The only thing I'm not entirely sure on is the rear master cylinder, I don't know for sure if it is in the same location.

Yeah I think you need the master cylinder and the shift linkage stuff also.

i think the ones pictured are stock on the lightnings,

I figured I'd have to take a pic of my STOCK '06 XB12S footpegs which are "straight-across", they have no drop to them whatsoever. BELOW is the pic of my '06 driver footpeg.

So, rtheiss1, if you're footpeg looks like BELOW, you can get the earlier one pictured from the Buell catalog to get an 1" drop.
