I love my Cyclone, but it's a tad tall. I'm 5'-6", and only weigh 165. so even sitting on it with the rear shock all the way out, I can barely touch the ground. I peeled back the seat cover and shaved off an inch or more, then put the cover back, but it's still a tad tall. Is there a slightly longer front bracket I can bolt on in the front? That should lower it easily, since the swing-arm is so much longer than the cantilever.

i never got into the technical part of it but i think the low shock is what you want to get for your bike(hence the m2L) that was out for i think 01 and 02, then you take the rest of it up in the fork height. if you do some searching, you can find one around on fleabay or somewhere. i had the low originally that my daughter enjoyed riding until she got rearended on it a number of years ago and now my m2 is a standard. good luck and don't try to take the cheap way out cause you'll end up messing up the handling on it.

A company named West Tek made lowering links for the tube frame bikes. www.west-tek-inc.com or 785.235.6701. Don't know if their still in business or not but someone might have a used one.

i made this front shock mount to lower my x1, adjustable to get it right.

Hey Martin, that is the shizznit! I like that. I was worried that if I made my own bracket, it might be too long or too short. I called the west-tek people, but they said my best bet was just to buy a new aftermarket shock which allows me to adjust the length. Being that my M2 only has 14K miles on it right now, though, I may build something like this pic. Thanks to everyone who has posted.
