I need to lower my wife's XB about another inch or two. I already put on the low seat. Anyone know of a kit or parts to lower a 2009 XB9SX?

You can drop the front two ways. One which everyone Weill agree is the best and that is to buy the Scg front fork assembleys. Two slip the forks the extra inch or so. If you slip the forks you have to remove a slip ring just under the top triple tree, and make sure when you tighten things back together it is all tight. I slipped my forks and have about 5k on them and they have yet to move at all.

For the rear, you will want to see if someone would be willing o trade you rear shock assembleys. Yours for an Scg, they will be direct replacements and only cost you shipping if you can find someone to trade.

Otherwise check out buellsterparts.com, fo sone great priced used parts.

Keep in mind that if you "slide" your front forks, you suspension settings will need to change. Your front end will be lower and therefore may require additional preload and compression; you may want to increase the rebound as well. In any case, make note to check the suspension.

I have the front forks and rear shock off a lightning xbsl it has 1600 miles on it. you would also need the kickstand, if you want to swap. Chris

mate... you can not just do the front forsk from the Scg. it will throw out the symetry of the bike. if you go the Scg option you gotta do the front forks, rear shock, and side stand.
i just did this late last year on my partners xb9Sx. lowered the bike 40mm and coupled with the lower seat, meant she could touch the ground sweet. my lady is jsut 5'2".
here is a vid...

Two guns thats what im looking to do. Is there a way you could do a write up on here about any trouble you ran into? Anything that dosent quite match up? Im in contact with a person who has a 08scg and i have a 2007xb9sx. Im wanting to ship my things to him so what all is included besides the forks,spring/shock,and side stand?

One thing to keep in mind if you trade is that the 2003, and possibly 2004 bikes had 41mm forks wihle the newer ones have 43mm forks. You can keep your same top triple either way, but if you end up trading someone with a 2003-2004, make sure you get their lower triple clamp as well.

I'm currently trying to raise my xb9sl so I've found a longer sidestand and rear shock, but I'm still looking around for the forks. Gotta hold onto my short stuff though incase my wife ever decides she wants to ride it.
