So its time for new shoes. I really liked the 2ct's and wondered what yall think and if anyone knows of a good deal on a set?

I get my stuff through iron pony. A good friend of mine works there and sets me up with some stellar deals. I would say keep your eye out for place's "cheistmas sales" and you'll likely find a good deal.

I have a set of 2cts on my 1125. Ran them on my xb too. I personally love them. They compliment my riding style well. I will not go as far as to say they are better than any other tire. But I love the shape and feel of these tires. Stick like hell when it's warm out, quick warm up time, ****** traction in cold weather honestly, cant say much for wet weather. I ride them in the rain but I wasnt exactly pushing the limits of the tires the Times I did. They perform pretty well overall. Best performance investment you can make on a bike is a good set of tires. I would consider my 2cts a good investment.

I ran a set on my 919 and didn't care for them. I found they wore quickly & unevenly, and they caused the bike to fall into corners. Having said that, they seem to get lots of good reviews from other XB owners...

I had them on my XB, and have not really been pushing the 1125 yet because I do not have tires on it I am comfortable with. Once I wear these out I will get 2cts and feel much more at home and safe.

I have the Pilot Power 2CT's on my 2005 XB9SX right now and they are great tires, probably one of the best I've ever run. I put them on at the beginning of the season this year and currently have 6000 miles on them. I would say they will be good for another 1,000 miles before I have to replace them. They handle great in both wet and dry conditions and stick to the road really well. I do a lot of long distance trips so I have tested these a lot in the rain and cold weather and I have never had a problem with traction (only time was when I got stuck in 12'' of mud in a campsite in upstate NY.....good times..lol)
I buy most of my tires through Motorcycle Superstore (I find they typically have the best prices on tires) and have them mounted and balanced at a local shop.
They are great tires, but I hear the newest version (Pilot Power 3) is a bit better and longer lasting.

have them on my bike now. they took me 9200 miles so far on my xb. the rear is bald and the front is starting to get wobbly in the turns but these tires are excellent in the rain. they took me from illinois to cali and back. through the desert, mountains, and twisties in northern cali. have nothing to complain about

I got got about 7500 on mine, went with the 190 rear. Now I just got to find another set on the cheap!

Which 2ct's are we all talking about? Michelin has a few different tires that use that technology. Pilot Power? Pilot Road? etc.

Personally, I went through a few sets of the Pilot Power 2ct's and have now switched to the Pilot Road 2's (2CT) to get a few more miles out of them. Sadly, I don't do enough canyon carving and my Power 2CT's wore too fast in the middle. So far, I like the Road 2's but have barely broken them in thus far.

There's several people here that have used them. I also spoke with Dragonslayer (from the Dragon meet with the Uly and the yellow XB9S). He runs them hard on both of his bikes up and down the Dragon like a madman so IMHO, if they're good enough for him for street use, they're good enough for me. If you plan to do trackdays, you may want to stay with the more aggressive tires on the left side of the chart I posted. They also have a Road 3 that's not shown on the chart. It's a step above the Road 2 but from what I've read, it's mainly in the wet traction performance department which wasn't high priority for me.
