Hey, I NEED new tires. My read is starting to show the under layer. I have heard good things about Michelin Pilot Power 2CT. Those are the dual compound ones for better wear and grip on the center and sides ,respectively. I think i would like to get them for both front and rear, but the harley-buell place by me wants $550 for tired and install! that seems way steap. Im not a huge tire guy so does anyone know where i can find them online for a good deal? Also, will they fit our bikes? Thanks a ton guys.

Got mine at MotorcycleSuperstore...$215 Shipped!! There are $5 coupons on line that you can apply as well...

Wow, thanks for the fast reply guys! I think im going to order these tonight. If anyone else knows of a better deal chime in! I will post if i find a better one too. Really, thanks again guys this is great!

fyi the pilot pure is supposed to be an improvement on the already amazing pilot power 2ct. and i want people to get them so they can tell me how they are when im ready for a set

seems to have the same compounds but the hard compound in the middle is narrower on the pure than the pp. this means you get the sticky stuff at less of a lean angle.

By on line. Most have free shipping. Take off your rims and take them to your local bike shop to have them mounted. I have a local bike shop who will mount and ballence for $35 each. $70 each if they are on the bike. So $220 plus $140 = $360 much cheaper then $550. You might need to call a few places to find one who will mount tires you bring in. One in three will do it.

Does anyone have these Michelin Power Pure things? looked them up. a little more expensive, but a MUCH larger soft range! This is a huge plus in my mind. any reviews or opinions?

The cheapest I could find for the Power pure set was $260 shipped. Not bad. Now I'm leaning towards these. worth an extra $40 to get that larger soft range.

I wonder how they hold in in durability vs the 2ct's though... with more soft compound, the tire might wear faster

That video is excellent! Really helps explain what type of rider they are geared for.
Wiznut, i was also thinking about wear. BBbbbbuuutttt i was thinking it also might help it wear more evenly. preventing the flat that all the wheel spin, highway riding and wheelies cause. Regardless, with that video, adn thoughts of wear milage in mind, I am now leaning back to the 2ct's again. I am being such a chick about this. haha. Its my prerogative.
Oh, and i should add that I have always had stock ully tires. so i'm pretty pumped about getting some proper street grip.
