Mirrors and Front Turn signals

what has everyone done? I got the bike yesterday and just looking at it in the garage I want to rip off those mirrors!

I saw a post in here where someone added bar-end mirrors and then used LED strips on the air intake for the turn signal, which I liked

what else ya got?

Bar end mirrors are popular with the CR crowd.

No help on other options.

Keep in mind you still want people to be able to see your signals easily. They'll turn in front of you anyway but don't give them a reason.......

I used CRG bar end mirrors and cheap ebay led turn signals.

did you just reroute the wiring and drill a hole for those LEDs? I want bar end mirrors too, but wasn't sure what to do to regain the turn signals.

@Mush, you dont really have to reroute the wiring, it comes up through there anyway. I just drilled the holes and hooked them up.

where is the cheapest site to get the CRGs?

Bar end mirrors are really the only way to go. Not sure about the crgs but you can get copies on ebay that you'd barely even know aren't CRGs. I have a mismatched set on my bike, one is a CRG, and the other is a cheaper copy, and without having them both in my hands, I'd honestly never know the difference.

@Ron, I dont remember where I got them but they were about $100 for the pair. I had a set of cheap barends from ebay and they were junk. The glass actually started to come off of one and the other would vibrate the screws loose and almost fell off while riding, so I went with the CRG's and they are awesome. I have heard people having good luck with some of the ebay mirrors, maybe I just got a bad set.

One other thing, they dont come with the bar end adapters so you would have to get those also.

decided to go with these for turn signals:

amber LED Flex Strip from Autozone, It was 20$ and is pretty bright. Used the 3M mounting tape it came with and stick it on the side intake/radiator pieces.

I am going to find a nice set of bar-end mirrors to finish it off

I already love the bike even more without those gly stock mirrors!

it is pretty bright and when standing in front you can see it

surprisingly, only once! When I went to take it, I had the same thought you did lol

I did the same thing with the leds in the rear. I got the idea from Davexbr. Wiring was easy as pie. I used liquid electrical tape to finish it off nicely.

nope it was pretty simple, took about a half hour total! I am very happy with the look

I'm not sure of the sizing and adaptors needed. But i like these mirrors alot and the price is good.
