Ive got a storage room in my apartment with an electric hot water heater and electric heat pump in it. Its a huge room and id like to store my bike in there for the winter. Are there any issues with gas vapors in close proximity to the mechanical equipment? thanks

Being a union plumber,i would have to say no.the gas fumes would rise up,only to evaporate.only fumes that hang low to the ground are dangerous, carbon monoxide.either drain the gas tank during storage, best idea,or use a fuel stabilizer in the gas tank.you do not want any condensation to build up in the tank and break the fuel down.hot water heater rooms are usally vented in some way anyhow.hope this helps.

You could just google the proper storage tips which include draining out almost if not all of the fuel from your motorcycle/vehicle. Shouldn't be an issue though, like RHYNO said, condensation is one of the main worries, also, every week or so if you can, roll it forward/backward, set the tire on a different contact patch, you want to avoid any possibility of developing a flat spot on your wheels. Check ALL FLUIDS before taking it back out of storage, as well as air pressure and battery. Ooh BATTERY TENDER! Hope that helps out some man.
