How many people here are into muscle cars or own them?

I know LeFox likes GTO's:p They are one of my favorite

I recently aquired my dream car you see. It is a 1970 AMC Rebel Machine, original Red, White, and Blue, 4-speed car. I assume no one knows what that is so if you care, look it up. Keep im mind I'm only 24(almost 25) years old so I consider myself very young(and fortunate)to own one of these. I have been looking for one for years and just got it.(I grew up with muscle cars though)

I brought this up because Buells are sooooo similar to muscle cars and I love both. If you're a muscle car guy, you know what I mean, they're the motorcycle equivilent...

It would also be cool to post pictures of your cars(I know you have them, even though this is a motorcycle group)

edit: for those who want to see what it looks like:

I just a car guy in general. I would own a muscle car if gas wasn't an issue. My dream car is a 1971 Mach 1 with a 429 Cleveland.

I do and have owned some Muscle Cars & Trucks, Sports Cars also.
I am the only one left in my Family that remembers the Day we brought home our 68 GTO 400 4spd, it is in storage waiting to be restored. I currently have an 89 Chevy C1500, Short Bed Reg Cab with an All Aluminum 350, with a Gale Banks Twin Turbo'ed Setup and a Viper 6spd with a Currie 9-inch backing it up. I had a 2000 Triple Black Vette Conv, with the 6spd, and Z51 suspension. Traded that in for an '03 Duramax with the 6spd Manual. I had a '88 Pontiac Fiero GT that I was putting a SB Chevy into, until I ran into some problems, so I switched gears, and found a IMSA GTP-L engine for it, 400 HP 4Cyl normally aspirated, Cosworth 4vlv head. Then somone stole the car from storage, still have the engine though.
And of Course the '98 S3 that I have had since '01
later

i have had 5 novas two 71 three 73. i also put a chev 350 into an 88 rx7 and currently building a turbo 67 bug

I really don't think there is a guy out there that doesn't like muscle cars. It just sucks now expensive they are getting now.

I don't own one but I would love to get a 66 Vette with a 427 4-speed. My favorite car of all time.

- '67 shelby/mustang gt500 fastback
- '66 & '70 pontiac gto
- '69 mustang mach1
- '70 chevrolet camaro
- '69 dodge charger
- '70 dodge challenger (2008 isn't bad either)
- '70 chevrolet nova

and those are the ones i know...i'm in euroland so don't know them all [smirk]

Thanks for the edit LeFox. That's not my actual car in the picture but yes, it is one of them

46 Willies CJ2A Jeep is how I roll old school :p Its my off road hot rod. I also like the 67' 68' Camaro's. My dad had a mid 50's Ford Pickup when I was young, Candy Apple red pearl, that truck would push you into your seat off the line. I can still hear the butterfly opening up on a 60mph roll on and pin you head to the seat. He also had a 56 Bell-air Hot rod that he totaled just before I was born. Said he fell asleep at the wheel, I think it was more like one too many if you ask me.

Im a big fan of the Buick Grand National, always wanted one, Last thing i had to cal nice was an 84 F150 2x4, had a 302, hedders, holly carb, 10 wide rims, had shaved the handles and took everything off that was stickin out, smoothed it out, with scoop and all the goodies. Never did put mufflers on it it was rather loud comin out of 4 inch pipes, i miss the old girl.

I'm pretty much a bike guy, have 4 of em'.But in my younger days(p.s. I'm only 39)I had a 70' Camaro SS and a 71' Camaro RS splitbumper. All stock. My favorit ride ,and keisersozae you'll like this, was a 68'Bug.It gad a fiberglass 1-piece tilt front end, glass doors, glass rear feanders, glass decklid, gutted interior with a full cage, and stock rims with vw caps.I was running a 2180cc pancake motor(no fanhousing)with dual 48 webers,a stinger with no baffel, and a 90 horsepower nitrous bottle hidden under the rear speaker tray.Had a Rhino tranny case and Strange racing axles. It at up any small block that it came across.Breath deeply keisersozae, sad part is I wrapped it around a streetpole while racing a 68'Camaro.At least I was winning up untill the tires broke loose and, well, streetpole.[sad]

Man,I really need to proofread my typing before I post em' That's why I send my 7year old girl to a private school, and don't homeschool[smirk]

yeah, bugs are bad ass. their culture is a lot like buells. people are obsessed with customization and no two are ever alike. what a lot of people dont understand is that you can make a beetle fast fast fast. nothing better than having someone laugh at you at the starting line cuz your in a vw then you put 10 lengths on them off the line. my last was an 1835cc but yeah im gonna move on up above 2 liters this time. im gonna do wheelies on my bike and in my car.

I'm glad to see so many people post on this topic. Anyone want to share pics of their cars?

I also have, as my daily driver, a 1982 Pontiac GrandPrix. However, I put built a 12:1 compression small block chevy 350 and put that in(it was a v-6 car). I also converted it to a 5-speed manual transmission(Borg-Warner T-5) from a 3rd generation Camaro/Firebird. Built a 4.10 Posi rear for it....It's an awesome daily driver street car(still looks almost like a grandma-mobile)
