so it got warm out the past week or so and ive been riding everyday after work. and my bike every once and a while just coughs through the throttle body. i can feal it on the air box. it only happens when im slowing down or going slow. does that mean im runing rich, lean or?

oh my bike is an 04 xb12r with an 06 engine and a race map for the jardine. i think i just need to tweak the map. but i need to no what to change.

they all do it no worries try not to blip the throttle. The motor has a long stroke it will cause it to cough and snot a bit

could be runnign a little too rich, could also change your plugs, and do a crank-case breather, if you haven't already. the breather can be the solution to those little hiccups sometimes

I know that breather worked for some and others didn't notice a difference, but I did my breather a couple of weeks ago and its a noticable difference at low rpms. Easy mod, might give it a shot.

ill start with the breather mod. maybe this weekend.

and it makes sense that its when i blip the throttle the first time i noticed it was under a bridge.... hahaha the yamahas egged me on.

I switched to the colder heat range plugs (DCP9EIX is the PN I think...) and it made a huge difference. Probably 50% less hiccups.

Breather mod made a little difference.
