Well, I have returned from a weekend ride of around 1000kms. Prior to the ride I was thinking about selling the bike for another z1000. All I can say is..... I am in love with the bike. It's a 2007 xb12ss with just a breather reroute.
For all you Australian guys and girls, we traveled from Melbourne to Mt beauty and back again. The roads were some of the best I have ridden, and even gave reefton spur a run for its money.
I rode with two other guys, one on a zx12r and the other on a k1300 BMW. I'm pleased to say the the Buell had the best acconomy of the three bike, coming in at around 5ltrs per 100kms or 47MPG. I must say that I was not riding slow either. I did get a chance to ride the BMW, the bikes are soooooooo different.
I finally got the chicken strips off my rear wheel and had an awesome time. The other bikes smashed me in a straight line, but it did well keeping up through the corners.
I am now looking to keep the bike and add a few more bits to it. I think I'm a bueller for life now. I really want to go out and ride an xb12r now to see what the diffence in in the ride.
