My first bike!

Just picked up an 08 XB12R with 2800 miles on it yesterday! Boy what a bike! I think my 5k was spent very well. However I do have one question. Is it common to have a slight hesitation to start up? It seems to struggle making the first turn over then it fires up though. Maybe I'm a noob and just don't know any better.

Mine is the exact same way, battery is getting weak. After I put it on a battery tender mine fires right up.

It usually takes a couple hit on my starter button...make sure you keep the battery on a battery tender. Welcome to the forum.

I have the same problem. Mine turns over, stops for a split second, turns over and fires up. I think my battery going bad. It's about 3 years old. I keep it on the tender all the time.

Ditto on the battery for me. Mine actually had a new battery though. My prob was a slightly loose ground on the batt. Tightened back up and it was good to go
