Ok so my friend just sold is Yamaha v-Starr it was his first bike he had like 4000 miles under his belt now and he has helped me with my buell and has driven it once and he loves buell but he is 6'6" and I have a 1125 so it was a little small for him but he likes to do do more cruising and distance driving. And he doesn't need all that power. So I suggested a xb12s. He doesn't want a fire bolt because of the clip ons but is there anyone this tall here? How does your bike for you or what model should he get. And he does t want a dual sport bike he was a head turner too

that 1125R at dillon bros is listed at 5,800 I believe. I think they're pretty good for cruising otherwise tell him to look at some Ulysses models

I'm 6'4" about 220-230lb. I am extremely comfortable on my xb9r compared to just about any other bike. My last bike was a suzuki gsf600 it was a "standard" and the firebolt is definitely more comfortable. I can, and do, ride all day on it. I will say I swapped on drop pegs(can't remember if it's 1" or 2") from a lightning and that mad a world of difference in my knees.

Well ok he really wants a xb12s. My may question is will it be big enough for someone who is 6'6"

The r and the s have the same frame. The s has 1" drop pegs and a different bar position. If all those people fit on a r just fine im sure he will be ok on the s. Is he not going to even sit on one before he buys it? I would think that will tell you right away if you fit and/or like the riding position.

The lightning should be more comfortable than the firebolt. He will look goofy but should be comfy. He should sit on one first.

That's why I'm asking people here first because I don't know anyone with an S beside wolfo but now my friend left and moved back to Kansas but he still wants me to help him fine one. He won't buy one with out trying it first.

In town cruising and getting around, I really like the upright position of my lightning at 6'2". Anything over about 2-2.5 hours and my knees will not like me the next day.

Ok awesome thanks. There is actually at STT at a dealership ill ha e to take him there.

my cousin is 6'7'', he looks foolish sitting on my buell, He didn't even want to ride it due to how small it felt underneath him....

I have a 9R

I'm 6.5ft @ 270lbs. Rode a '07 firebolt for 4 years. Got cramped at times but never became an issue. When its 2 wheels its really a matter of hanging-on vs being comfortable. Comfortable is when ur on 4 wheels I think
