picked up a 660 raptor from a friend super cheap! and by super cheap, i mean $600!!! He bought it a while back. its his first "Toy" ever! he's never had a bike, or quad, or anything of the sort. We live in TN near Land between the Lakes, He took it out there twice with some people from work and rode the trails, but each time it broke down on him. the first time the bolts that hold the magneto thinkg backed out and the flywheel sheered them off. So i helped him fix that problem, and i got it running again for him. Then today i guess he was riding, and it just died on him. we both think he just got some water/moisture in the carb somehow. The spark plug wire seemed to be "Modded" and was wrapped in electrical tape, When we got it back home i took it all apart, and the carbs practically fell out. they didn't seemed to be attached completely anyway. So I feel like the moisture part might have been the problem. Well after i cleaned everything and such i put it back together and it started right up and ran just fine. Tomorrow i am going to tighten the chain up, seeing as its pretty loose, and then i need to look into the shifter lever, it seems very loose, it makes shifting gears very difficult, you almost have to "wiggle" the shifter every time you change gears to be sure you can shift for the next gear. Its pretty rough around the edges, but everything is there, and it starts and runs just fine. Once i sort out the shifting lever it will be a fun quad! I'm sure I'll have fun with it for a bit out at LBL and such, but i dont see myself keeping it long term.

well i may have a supermoto in my future, Tuesday evening i'm going to go look at a ktm 400exc. trading the quad hopefully, its set up for dirt, but i might try to make it street legal if i switch with the guy
