Need Help Bike wont run!!!

So I started my bike today and it started fine, As soon as i pulled the clutch in and put it into first gear the bike immediately stalled out and whenever i tried to start it again it made an awful grinding sound... Is it the clutch? i have no ideas, has this happened to anyone else? Thanks for any help

Did it start more than once or just once. If it was the clutch it wouldn't move when clutch is released engine should stay alive. Does it grind in gear or on the startup. Could be your starter or battery. Charge it and see if it will start again assuming it wouldn't start the second time.

Sounds like a starter issue. Could be the jackshaft lacking the voltage to release or something. Thus interfering with the primary/trans and not allowing you to take off. Check the battery condition like stated above.
