ok guys, it seems from my research and talking to some people that the new ECMSpy version isn't as easy to use as the old version. I'm having a problem uploading a race map into my bike. I go to ECMSpy, I fetch my ecm info and save it, then I go to maps and click load, I find the file I was sent that I need and select it (it.s a .txt file) and then ECMSpy says: "Failed to read map file:
Text node cannot appear in this state. file:///C:/Users/RamAirZ/Documents/rhammer71acustommap.txt Line 1, position 1" so how do I get this working lol

also just in case your wondering I opened the stock map (.msq file) in word as well as the new race map (.txt file) and they look nothing alike, the stock map just looks like a text version of the map I look at in ECMSpy.

K I see I can open the .txt file and copy all the info from it over top of my stock eprom manually but will that load the new map as well?

edit** k can't do rthat either, a cell with a letter and a number I can only add numbers, no letters, wtf? If I try to load the fil as an eprom I get: "Failed to open EEPROM file: Sharing violation on path (and then the location of the file I'm trying to upload)"

also if I try to upload another race tune (I have a couple different things) I get "Failed to open EEPROM File: ecminfo.set(int)- error: failed to select ecm type from database. unsupported ECM type"

More updates (sorry but trying to provide all the info I can so hopefully someone can eventually help me get this sorted out)- So I used ecmread to pull the stock eeprom this time and saved it in a different file, I noticed it now saved a copy o it in .xpr format as well as .txt, which gave me some hope. I copy/pasted all the info from the .txt file for the race ecm into it but now how do I get it to .xpr format so it can be loaded into ecmspy to retrive the maps? I feel like I'm making a LITTLE progress here but still need some guidance. Wishing I had the old version of ecmspy where the .txt files worked lol

Hey if you end up stuck and come by here and we meet up I can give you a copy of the old ecmspy.

woohoo! Thanks to Mike (Xopti), I got her going! Now to wait until tomorrow to take her for a ride :)
