Any suggestions for where to look for new driver footpegs? Stock would be fine, but I was trying to find some nice aftermarket ones that would fit a 2009....
ebay baby. Or what is that site that sells used buell and sportster site? I think it is like buelsters.com or something. May be wrong on that though. As far as aftermarket goes, there have been a few on ebay, but other than that not sure myself. Someone else will let you know though I'm sure of it.
Stock ones are actually cheaper than aftermarket. I've seen them listed for just over $30 on the buell site but you have to order them from Harley. I did even find the drop pegs on ebay for about $35 plus shipping. I only know cuz I have to replace mine as well, some idiot put passenger pegs on the front. [mad]
I was able to get ducati pegs to work. Just had to ream out the mounting hole a little bit. They were meant for a like an 881 or something like that. D2moto had a bunch cheap. I went with the spikes. Seem ok except I didn't put loctite on the spike parts and one fell off.
Same price and product at ASB. I'd say support Al and his wife there before you go to Spiegler. How many websites do you know of that has aftermarket and OEM parts for our bikes? Sure buellparts.net but not nearly as many parts as ASB. My .02
Cyclepirates pegs, lots of flexibility...you can set them so you have a 1" drop, rise, forward, backward...or anywhere in between. Or you can set them up with no drop. All with the same set of pegs. I'm very happy with mine...
