need info on a swap

i am looking to convert my s to an scg and i was wondering if i swapped with someone what parts need to swapped? i know the rear shock and the side satnd for sure but remember hearing that the lower triple needs to be swapped(why?) and maybe the front forks? and help is appreciated thanks in advance

I can't remember...but the last I checked it was ~$1500 in parts if you bought them new at full price. And I believe that it depends on the year if you have to replace the lowers...I'm sure that someone will chime in that is more knowledgeable then me on this subject.

Its forks, shock, and seat. The lower triple has to be the same, since the headlights bolt there on all the Lightnings.

the lower triple needs to be swapped if the taller of the two is newer than 05 because of the difference in fork tube diameter.

02-04 build dates are 41mm after that they are 43mm

all lower bikes lightning low or lightning Cg are 41mm regardless of year

for some reason the lower triple is the only one that changed diameter from what I was told the upper section is a standard size across the board bolt or lightning.
