in need of edge distance from the sides, bottom and top of the headlight support bracket... working on a homemade bracket and need to cut the holes for the lights and want to center each hole...or does anyone have a broken/cracked bracket being thrown out to use as a template? thanks

I have mine ripped apart, will be gone all weekend going camping though. Could measure for you sunday.

looks like 1/2" from sides and bottom, dunno about distance between both lights guessing 2" separation there?

Center between the lights: 2 and 3/16"
Bottom: 7/16"
Sides: 1/4"

About as good as I could get with a tape...

couldn't get an answer about the plugs on the light housings...moved on with my project today, began with these

then made this

with several adjustments, fitted 'em into the fairing to center, but will have to re-adjust again to make sure the light beam is where it needs to be

fairing and bezels in the process of being painted and waiting for a couple more parts to show up...more pics to come in a near future thread of the completed project;)

thanks, it's ok for what it is...made two "L" brackets to support from the rear and mounted where the original one goes, so it's pretty sturdy 'til I get the real bracket

enlarged a pic of the original bracket and made sure the holes on it match up on the fairing stay before I transferred the image to the diamond plate and began cutting it out, used the measurements provided by snrusnak in my layout

are those lights oem? Mine don't have that "plug", however there is a recessed "hole" that is blocked off. It is like a recess that could be drilled open for future use or something.

And your lights are so shiny, did you paint them?

mine have those holes, they're plugged with some rubber but I believe it's a moisture drain.

they seem to be OEM, but dunno got 'em off evilbay for $59.99 brand spanking new, complete with rubber boots, bulbs, wiring...plug n' play, removed a spoon out of one of them since they both had 'em, they say motorcycle on 'em, frame around the lens states voltage, watts, and bulb type. compared them to pics on google images and they are very close to OEM, can someone take close ups of theirs and we'll see if they are
