Ok so my problem I thought was in within the o2 sensor as my bike runs great through the Cold Start, so the first few minutes, My thoughts were something with the wide open throttle and going from open to closed loop so I tested with the o2 unplugged to stay in open loop, but got nothing. then once the bike warms up it bogs out something harsh and the longer I ride the more it wants to die out (ie over 10mi period) even if I park the bike and it sits for 2hrs it will still run bad, but overnight and it is solid for the first 10-15mi.

So things to note, I swapped ECMs to a Race ECM from straight stock, reset the TPS, changed IAT sensors, tested with the o2 sensor unplugged (same results), no error codes, also I have new plugs and wires.

I assumed it was one of the above but I cant tell what it is. It has been 90deg or so lately here in MI and I have never had an issue before with heat, but it has been almost entirely since the temp went up to 90deg.

Even when the bike is running bad if I am on the highway at 4000+rpm the bike runs great, get on a back road and drop below 3500rpm and the bike spits and sputters, pull in the clutch or toss it into Neutral and it dies.

Any help, I am running in circles, well till the bike dies.

Thanks
Brandon

Try switching cam sensor off Sara's bike.
Gut feeling and pretty sure that's was wrong with my dam big block cold days it's fine but today it's hot runs great an hour then runs like crao for no reason

the actually tps may be bad, I know it's happened to a few of us

Part number is Duralast TPS213. at autozone like $30

Lol I was editing as you were posting.

Datalogging what's happening can give you some clues as to what's causing the bike to run so poorly.

When I had my running issue, I was able to use a datalog to figure out I had a weak ground for the ECM. What tipped me off was the high AFV value and the O2 not showing a rich mixture (close to 1 volt).

The ground path from the ECM to the engine is not a "clean" ground. Once I broke out the wiring diagrams I realized the XB wiring harness does not have "daisy chain" grounding (which is common with cars). Once I fixed the ECM ground (which I had in the wrong place) the bike had proper ground and it ran like a top.

Anyway, maybe you can gather some data on your bike with a datalog.

I know I had grounding issues when I first put the bike together so I will check that first.

Raining today and I need to do some running around before work so I will have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday.
