Can someone say run on sentence :D

The blast is a good starter bike if you don't have too much self control. But you'll get bored of the power (or lack of) in a matter of weeks. Good luck

I think it depends on how you want to ride. You want a nice, easy, fun ride or are you wanting to burn rubber?

I loved my 09 XB12Ss Lightning. It was my first streetfighter style bike. XB's have a Harley Sportster 1203 motor, they're very easy to ride, nice power, 5 gears, decent horsepower, look very unique, and they're are lots of customization and do-it-yourself (DIY) mods. I did very little maintenace on this bike and what little I did was easy. Great bike all around for all riders. If you're looking for speed, this isn't your boy. This bike is an excellent cruiser bike that will run down the highway very well and handle tight curves even better.

I now have an 09 1125Cr. The 1125R and Cr are essecntially the same bike. The Cr does not have a front fairing and the gearing is slightly lower allowing quicker takeoffs. It's quite a step-up from the XB. It's not as easy to ride, but it's a lot of fun. Lots of power, very quick, looks really sharp, deep horsepower, and 6 gears. These bikes do tend to require a little more maintenance and attnention as the voltage regulator and stator are prone to burn out around 5-10k miles. They're both easy fixes, but if they reocur often it can be aggravating.

I know very little about the Firebolt. I know it's a very popular bike. I believe it to be very similar to the XB only it has a front fairing and looks more "racey." The gearing and motor may be different as well, but I still believe the entire bike to be compatible with the XB, but I certainly could be wrong on this assumption.

All in all, Buells are great bikes and you'll be part of a unique breed on 2-wheels. I'm very happy with my decision to go Buell. European bikes are more common and it's easy to find people to work on them, but the Buell population like guys on here are more than willing to help you out with anything. Start off with an XB or a Firebolt and if you want some more power in the future, upgrade to an 1125.

XBR = Firebolt
XBS = Lightning

1125 = American designed frame.
austrian motor.
