I just purchased a 2001 Buell Blast,as my first bike. Being a beginner rider my boyfriend suggested I get a Blast. He owns a 2009 Buell Firebolt. The Blast fits me perfectly both size and the ability to handle it. He gave me a custom paint job which I love. It is definitely one of a kind. I will post before and after pictures of both of our bikes. Any comments/suggestions good or bad are welcome. Thanks!!

Buell couples, crack me up! Theres a few out there. Not many of the girls post in the forum, but there are a few if ya wanna have girl talk. Halfagiraffe started on a blast as well message her if ya like. Also a few blast wizards like jetlee hanging around.

Goodluck! Dont sell it to upgrade youll miss it if you do.

Welcome!

My wife is learning to ride. She had me change out all the black for blue plastics (her favorite color). She's just not one to get online and chat on forums.

Her's on the left, my two on the right.

I like your two-tone, especially how the black extends down the peg arms. Looks very sharp.

Welcome; you've picked a perfect first bike!

My wife started on a Kawi EX500 which she credits to her interest & success with motorcycling. She's now on a ZX6r which she acknowledges would have been just too much bike for her as a beginner. The object of taking up this sport after all, is to enjoy it & stick with it!

If you haven't already, I'd strongly encourage you to take a rider training course :).

I took the rider training course 2 weeks ago. I found it very helpful. I still have a lot to learn. I have noticed the handlebars seem rather high. Does anyone know the proper handlebars that are a little lower?

I like your bike pics also. :D

I enjoyed my Blast while I had it. No problems. Upgraded to an 1125r then moved on to my 2006 xb12r. The Blast was much more comfy then the other bikes but I missed the power. So I had to get the bigger bike. They joked at work that they took my man card away when I got the Blast. I always said having a small bike is much better then no bike.

As of last night my girlfriend and I became a Buell couple. She bought a 06 (or 07 I can't remember) Blast with 2000 miles on it. Has Vance and Hines exhaust, K&N intake, saddle bags, and is in perfect condition. It really looks like it just came off the showroom floor. (Can you tell I'm somewhat jealous?)

I've got some work getting done on mine at the shop, so once I get it back next week, it will be photoshoot time!
