Good Evening Everybody,

Dave from New Jersey here. Just got a red 1125CR. Love the bike already - test rode a Ducati 848 Streetfighter before the CR, and the CR is much more fun to ride (not to mention less than half the price!). Happy to be here. Forum ID is a carryover from the suzukib-king.org as I also own a B-King. Guess I have a thing for bikes with big air scoops.

Cheers and ride safely!

David

Thanks for the welcome! I will post up a couple of pics after I pick up an exhaust. It has a Hawk modded stock unit, not my cup of tea. Sounds good, but I'm glad I don't have to look at it while I ride :)

Pol - the B-king is a whole different animal. Huge power all around (bordering on too much), big weight (although at speeds over 10 mph, you'd almost never know it, super predictable, but almost boring on the local roads unless you're insane enough to wind it out. It's most comfortable on the highway at speeds of 90mph+ and in sweeping turns. Certainly not flickable, but it does handle very well for its bulk at any speed. Looks big, but it shrinks a bit when you get in the saddle (what she said? oh no...). It's hard to find a place to really use much of that power. It's very comfortable and great for long trips. Monstrously quick and surprisingly easy to ride. Gets attention everywhere it goes too. First impressions on the CR (only about 100 miles of 80% highway riding so far, recently had minor surgery) have left me with different intentions for it. Working with 50+ fewer hp, I can stretch the engine more often and use more of the power. I plan to ride it all over town and local trips under 200 miles. It feels made for twisty roads. Handling is much more effortless and the engine has way more character. BKing K8 motor is very typical inline 4, but has tons of aftermarket support and is easy to tune and tweak. The Rotax twin thumps and grunts and has more of a rowdiness to it. I have the highbar kit on the CR, and while comfortable, it isn't as comfy as the king. I need some more time on the Buell to really be fair though - I have had the King two years and know it well. I love it to death and will end up modding the pants off of it (already started). Being new to the CR, it is automatically more exciting at the moment.

In the end I think I'll love them both equally for different reasons.

I have just the thing you need. It's not cheap by any stretch though. Definitely will get some more power back over stock, ie; 15+ hp.

Mr. Adams. I was eyeballing your work long before I even bought the bike - very impressive. I already have the EBR ECM as well. May have to wait until next spring through - the benjamins don't grow on trees (yet). How does the powdercoating hold up with long term use?

That one is ceramic coated. I'm still in the "testing phase" with ceramic, but it's rated to 1800 degrees (cerakote) so it should do just fine. I've done a few sets of headers and maybe 4-5 mufflers so far. Stripping the ceramic off is a little more time consuming than powder was, so I'm guessing it's a little tougher.

Ya he could test it on mine. Haha just messin dean. But seriously. I do hate my stock exhaust. Also I have a set of club men handle bars and cables. If you'd be interested in trading. Just a thought. Also congrats on the new man. They are my addiction. Lol

Hey John, thanks and I appreciate the offer, but the previous owner gave me the original bars and cables as well. I doubt I'll switch it back either - I prefer the more relaxed seating position. I had two japanese 600 track bikes as first bikes (both freakin' stolen) and never went to the track. I don't miss the riding positions on the street.
