Hi everyone. Just wanted to make my first thread I have used buellxb forum before, but decided to finally make an account. My names William. I currently ride a 2005 Lightning Xb12scg picked it up a few weeks ago with under 5,000 miles. Got a real killer deal on it, and ever since I sold my last buell I just missed it. One of the best riding motorcycles in my opinion, but then again I have not rode many different ones. So is there any Buell riders that live in Oklahoma? North Eastern to be more specific. I ride with quit a few guys I work with, but most of them ride Honda's and Kawasaki's. Im currently the only buell rider in the group, and to be honest I don't think I have ever seen any in my area. Still semi new to buell though, only upgrades I have done to mine is new mirrors (couldn't handle the stock ones) and have some new blinkers, and levers on order. Im pretty sure my xb has an aftermarket seat, but not positive. Anyway glad I finally joined, Im sure I will be asking lots of question, as I start to progress with shaping my buell to my specifications.

Hi everyone. I have been trying to Load up a picture, but not sure how to load from my phone to the forum. Its not giving me a option for it.

I'm about to saddle up in our area. Did you buy that red one with the gold wheels off I44 in Tulsa?

No I actually picked up the Blue with Gold wheels they had it listed in Fortsmith Craigslist it was located in Springfield Missouri, but I got the guy to meet me in Tulsa. I tried to pick the red one up, but he wouldn't budge off price. So found the 05 model bought it with 4700 miles brand new Michellan Pilot 4 tires and only gave $3000

Wicked you are right mate there are loads of new chaps on here lately its brilliant! It seems that our natural charm and charisma have been noticed! lol :eagerness:

yeah william1991... how old are you man, and how did you get into buells? just trying get a feel of what the new guys out there are thinking and saying about buells. ive noticed a change in attitude about buells from the younger riders I run into on the street.. seems like they are becoming a bit more appreciated for what they are.. now that they are gone, they have something of a mystique about them now... or it seems that way, hard to tell.. I get the "oh yeah, those things are fukkin cool" speech a lot more now..

GloomShadow, I'm 24. And as far as the Buell's go I been riding long as I can remember my dad always rode. Once I got 14 and a motorcycle license I gradually upgraded on bikes in 2010 I totaled out a Honda CBR, due to a car pulling out in front of me. After that I picked up a Buell Blast I found and just loved it. But obviously I wanted more power, but nothing to crazy. I ended up selling that bike to get a car since the weather is so crazy in Oklahoma snow one day sun the next. And didn't ride for about 6 years. Never been so miserable. Finally after getting things in my life on the right track (financially) the wife promised after we bought our new house I could get back on two wheels. Right then I started looking at bikes and I just knew I was getting another Buell. My friends all ride your average day bikes and I knew the Buell was what I longed for with its unique looks. So finally I came across the 05 I have now. And couldn't be happier. I can pull up somewhere with my buddies and even though there bikes are tricked out and brand new I always get the most attention on mine, people asking me what it is etc. etc. Don't see many Buell's where i'm from. Or at least I don't.

yeah I know what you mean... ill have a busa parked on one side and cbr on the other but they are tripping out on mine asking "why this" and "why that" and "what does that do?"

Not sure about lower it's the scg model so I know it's got a lower seat height not sure if the actual bike is lower, and as far as the seat I think it is it's made of a different material seems to have a little more extra grip but pretty comfortable.
