The cam cover was off so I need help putting it back on any help with pics would be great! Also I want to eliminate the unnecessary wiring I got a ultima simple wiring harness but I'm un sure what all I can hook up. Thank you for all the help in advance!

Just my .02. I don't know how long it's been since this was run, so I'm working on the assumption it's been setting a little bit.
1) While it's easy to tear into, check the voltage regulator and stator before you get it totally bolted in and wired up. I picked up my 02 last month and didn't know the charging circuit was bad till it ran out of juice while I was out. Luckily I was at a bike shop and could throw a charge on it.
2) make sure there is no crap in the oil lines. Blow them out or replace them.
3) if the engine hasn't been run in a year. You may want to change out some of the main gaskets - oil pump seals, primary cover ect. Look at the o-rings around stuff like the shifter. It's easier to do while it's out and you might as well make sure you have a clean bike that doesn't mark it's territory.

Thanks everybody for the input it's been a great help! Now I got another newbie question where would I find a online manual for my bike? Does anybody have one they would want to scan and email me or is there a PDF online.Also is it ok for me to degrease and use a water hose to clean the engine and and how would you polish the heads? Sorry for all the questions but normally when I start a project I don't finish .with this one it's been a life long dream for me to build one so I'm going in with it all!
