Hello. I'm in the market for some new tires. From what I read I am leaning towards Michelin Pilot Road 2 or the Pilot Power 2CT. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? I don't do track days and don't corner too hard, but I want something that'll keep me safe in the rain and stand that front tire right up when i hit the throttle. I would also like something that would last awhile. Your info is greatly appreciated. '03 xb 9s.

P.S. Any major problems going to a 190?

Pilot power is an awesome tire... great control in wet and cold conditions ... and when it gets hot it definitely sticks!!! I personally haven't tried the 2CT but have heard nothing but great reviews.

I have the Pilot Toad 2 and love them. I have about 3k on them and they look new. Little rough on the road as you can feel everything but thats to be expected on a high mileage tire and the grip in the corners is just awesome. Really changes the handling of the bike, turn in is perfect and I have never felt uncomfortable or sketchy in the corners. I've never had problems in wet weather and the reviews I have read say they are tops among the high mileage tires. I will put these back on the bike next tire change. [up]

i got the power 2's a month ago, just average highway riding and cornering roads here where i am but the tyre is fantastic so far. it wore in well and has not started to wear down the center yet. i dont know how good they are in the wet because we havent seen rain here for over a year and yea they are pretty good for standing the front up[up][up]

I am on my 2nd set of Michelins on my 04 Lightning! Superior grip, Stability, cornering and are good on wet roads! Now with any tire, driving style of the driver is KEY! They are good on wet roads but no tire can guarantee full traction if bikeis being pushed on wet roads. I def. give these tires in my opinion +1. Good luck in your search.
