Had a 06 lighting that I just sold [smirk] for an 1125r! I had quite a few mods was wondering what I should do for this new bike? Also tuning the 06 was pretty easy how about the 1125r?

These bikes are pretty straight-forwars from my experience, and from what i have read here. My 2009 1125R was stock for six days after i bought it (second owner) until i bought a jardine rt5 carbon slip on. Since it still has the stock ecm, it throws a check engine light every once and a while, but the stock ecm will do that to you. I would highly recommend an eric buell racing ecm if u plan on getting exhaust. The stock ecm can handle a drop in filter, but thats about it. Unless u are going to stay stock, whe ebr ecm is ghe way to go. I am going to order mine im a week or two, but the 5k mile service and new set of tires are badly needed. Enjoy that bike! I love mine. Sometimes i kick myself for not getting an xb12s, but everytime i open it up, i am reminded of exactly what kind of monster i am sitting on. I would say get a slip-on, a k&n filter, and an ebr race ecm and call it done! Ride safe brother, and own the entire roadway!

Let me tell you that even my jardine rt5 exhaust is almost too loud, and it isnt evem the loudest out there! Its more of a moderate system. I cant even fathom what d&d or keda exhaust sounds like. No katter what you get, its going to sound like heaven under your buns!

Hopfully we get to the fix for the stator soon [smirk]

well its an 09 with 600 miles on it and warranty runs out in 2 months and the riding season is almost over here....should i just except the stator to crap out or are some bikes good?

I have my factory warranty until november, but i dont know what to think. The way i see it is i will hope for the best, and prepare for the worst. I am not sure how much a stator replacement will cpst, but i would keep it in memory. I hear people having 3 or 4 stators within 5k miles, but i have almost 4900 miles on my 09 and have not had a problem yet. Either way, best of luck, and enjoy the ride!
