I got a 1996 S1 Lightning. Bone stock accept maybe billet wheels possibly off another year lightning. Bike was built around middle of 1996 and is a grey charcoal color. Bike was beat but could easily be made perfectly stock again. Im on a super budget so if this bike is rare collectors item worth a nice chunk of cash I need to pass it on to a true Buell fan. I may possibly sell it or trade it for another bike (Lightnings move to the top of the list. But i need cash so Let me know. Im located on west coast near the gold rush.

The wheels are most likely aftermarket "PM" wheels made for the tube buells. All of the tube buells are getting hard to find. I keep an eye on craigslist looking for one I have seen them range from 1000-5000+- just depends on mileage and condition.

But in all honesty I AM looking for a S-1 if you're interested in selling the bike.

I mean for me to keep it I would just through some parts on it from another bike instead of shelling out the money to make it original. Every thing has a small issue unfortunately the last owner was not a bike enthusiast. the gear shaft has been vice griped. the wireharness needs to be replaced. the gauges are beat. the pipe is dented and needs to be welded. everything needs to be gone through. Gas tank looks horrible as well as tail plastic. but on a light note the frame is straight. the motor looks incredible nothing leaking around the usual spots. the forks are cherry. Billet wheels look so good. the gauge it came with says 50,000 miles im not familiar with Harley motors but the motor does not have all the grime a 50000 mile should have so I need to find out if the motor has been swapped. Cause that would make a huge dent in value. is it true a s1 made 100 hp like it says on motorcycle specs.za feel free to call 916 457-4789 located 20 out of Sacramento ca. I have sold old two strokes and turbo bikes and shipped them all over the world.
