My new girl: on its way from Texas, but unfortunately, not yet in my garage...

'06 Uly w/10K miles on it. A few cosmetic issues I'll want to work out, but pretty sweet for the $ I paid.

Good news: my wife said I can still keep my '06 XBSS. BUT, if anyone is looking for an '06 black/amber SS, I could be convinced...I'm in MN. I may be posting it this spring anyway. Let me know if you're looking for a MINT 06 XB12SS - black/amber - you can find it in my profile pics if you're into it.

A couple items I'll be looking for forum member help on:

1) It currently has an aluminum Jardine on it. No dents or dings. I'll be looking for somebody to swap their Hawk, Drummer, Spec.Ops, D&D, etc. (pretty much anything not Jardine) with the Buell stock clamps/mount for the Jardine. I assume that SOMEBODY is into the aluminum Jardine thing. I had a carbon fiber Jardine on my first 03 XB9S and it was fine, but not my cup of tea. If anyone is preemptively interested, let me know (PM or email is good) and you can call dibs!

2) There's a little bit of scuffing on the frame pucks. Just because I'm a type-A, high-maintenance bike owner, I want to put on new ones. Anyone looking to unload a set of XB12SS or ULY frame pucks? Long shot, but I'll at least put it out there.

3) I'm planning on ditching my "barricade orange" shortly after the bike arrives. It may just come in the form of a shot of Plasti-Dip, but: Does anyone want to swap for, Black, Red, Blue - anything but barricade orange...that means your seat too...

4) ALSO, looking for a stock 06 XB12SS ECM. Let me know if you have one OR know where I can find one (part #, eBay listing, whatever)

That's it for now - check her out:

Very nice. I bought one almost just like it a few years ago, and have thoroughly enjoyed it, although I haven't gone on any epic trips ... yet. Good luck with unloading your Jardine and orange stuff. I'm trying to do the same!

Hey congrats riverotter! your one of us Uly guys now :)[up].. I have a couple of suggestions for you.. how about plasti-dipping your pucks texture black first.. if you dont like it you can always replace em'. I have a coupla' small scuffs on mine and was thinking about doing it (have new replacements too, though) also, tech-spec has nice frame grip pads for our long frames, they look and work great.. see my pics or search for how they look.

Wazzup fella's, no love for orange? (it's my fav.. lol)

Mine was barricade orange too, sometimes I regret painting it, but not often... Congrats Otter you'll love it, looks like a nice ride!

I like the little windscreen extender on it, what brand is it/ where could I find one???

New ones from Harley are pretty cheap, but before you bother with that try a little black spray paint in very light coats or you can even spray it on a lint free rag and kinda wipe it on (like staining woodwork). or if they're really light scuffs tire shine will mask them, but you've got to continue to apply it about weekly.

nice machine. those lightly scuffed frame pucks can buff out. i know that sounds ridiculous but have done it quite a few times. start with 2000 wet-or-dry sandpaper and water, then lightly scotchbrite your work, then buff with circular foam pad and plastic polishing compound. works like a champ with most scuffs.

Do you know which H-D dealership has them for $52? I found them for $64 at Surdyke.com but not for less. Let me know if you have a lead on that $52 price tag.
