Its 40F here in Wis could not take it anymore had to get my first ride on new bike in!Everything everyone said was true AWESOME:D.Front end comes up not 1 not 2 but 3 gears! The only thing i can complain about its hard to shift,Moved lever and shift peg around thinking wrong angle cause of boot but still no luck.Seems to happen when at higher rpms then norm driving, anyone with 1125s have or had this problem?[confused]Also ides about 1700 is that high for this bike?

I dont have any issues with shifting. its not the clutch, but the actual shift lever right?? check your clutch fluid in your primary... the 1125's have a hydraulic clutch, and if for some reason you dont have enough fluid or you have air in your lines, it may make shifting in and out of gears a little more difficult... it could be nothing. maybe you just have to get used to it...

also, check your clutch cover on the right side of your bike... in colder temperatures (at least on my 1125R) some of the internal components, i.e. seals and what not, shrink allowing for fluid to seep out. I know this was a problem with the '08 1125Rs, but may be an issue with the '09 and later CRs too.

my R idles at about that same RPM. if you are unsure about it or want to test, do a TPS reset. to do this, turn your key to run, and make sure the engine cut-off switch is set to on, but do not start your bike. from this point rotate the throttle to wide open and hold for 1 second, return the throttle to fully closed position and hold for 1 second, repeat this 2 more times and then turn your key to the off position.

welcome to the 1125 group..
It took me a while to get used to shifting and seemed somewhat "clunky" at first. In the beginning I had a few missed shifts or false neutrals but it's all good now. Just need to get used to it is my guess. Have fun in the mean time.

First two or three gears are fine then it just wont click or anything just seems like im out of gears then down shift one then it will shift up again?Maybe its just me but never had that problem with any other bikes i have ever riden.

I dont have that problem on mine... how many miles do you have on it? What year is it?

09Cr1125 With 1000 mile A 63 year old guy owned it before me so don't think it was ridden hard.I even thought maybe im not pulling the clutch in far enough but that dumb idea didn't work either.lol

does it shift if you kick it up a little harder? or do you literally HAVE to downshift to upshift again? is it under warranty? take it in and have it looked at if it is...

I rode an 1125R and a CR and i have to say the shifting is excellent! I usually ride a bolt, and going to 1125 it was like butter! I would have to say try agfish's idea, because thats strange.

I bought the bike from Virgina.Yes still has warranty but out of all the HD i called on before i bought the bike. The best one is about 1 1/2 away.I know it needs some kind of recall on elec.I just wanted to ride bike there not trailer it.But still have weeks before that happens.Like I said feels like gears lock up know matter how hard i push up will not shift. But as soon as i down shift ok.(Happens at higher rpms)

Did you change the oil and primary fluids? I had the same problem. You have to use lighter oil for cold weather. Oil is probaly still really cold from the Wisconsin winter.

1st. try warming the bike up with a heater before even starting it. Take it inside or use a garage heater. Go for a ride and see how it shifts then.

2nd. Change oil to thinner oil like I said above. Fresh oil never hurts.

3rd. Check primary chain adjustment. I have a book if you want me to copy the page for that.

Oil in motor is good,Clutch fluid is full, part of me still think its my boot, next time it gets warm again i will try reg shoes for hell of it see if that make a differences. [confused]

some things out of the service manual (1125)

Transmission

Shifts hard
1. Clutch dragging slightly
2. Shifter return spring (in side transmission)bent or broken
3. Bent shifter rod
4. Shifter forks (inside trans mission) sprung
5. Corners worn off transmission gear dogs (inside
transmission
6. Hydraulic clutch circuit not bled correctly

What agfish said ^^^

Oh ok agate. I knew an older fellow who owned a 1125CR and it was pretty amazing to see him ride it. He liked sportbikes and has a few but he traded it in for a Harley XR1200... had to ask.

I would at least bleed your clutch fluid to make sure you dont have air in the line....I dont know why you would, but you never know. also, keep trying what Boreas recommended. it is best to stick with basics, and if the book recommends, then one of those options is probably right.
